CARDINAL OMELLA COVERS UP FIVE NICHES OF SEXUAL ABUSE
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On July 7th, I submitted a dossier to the Cremades - Calvo-Sotelo law firm, which I have titled "Five Nests of Crimes Related to Sexual Freedom and Integrity, as well as Evidence Pointing to Those Who Conceal Them." This compilation synthesizes my investigative work since 2019 on five cases that directly and markedly implicate Cardinal Juan José Omella. It's essential to note that the primary concealers of these crimes are Cardinal Archbishop of Barcelona, Juan José Omella, and his predecessor cardinals. Among them, the only living one is the emeritus Cardinal Lluís Martínez Sistach, who, according to public sources and based on a study by Professor Rodríguez, is the utmost responsible party in this context. Also implicated in this veil of concealment is Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu, the Pope's delegate for pedophilia investigations, notably in Chile and recently in Peru.
It should be underscored that this situation doesn't astonish us. As I've reiterated on multiple occasions, "El País" newspaper includes these individuals in its list of concealers, both in an article published on its website and in a report personally delivered to Pope Francis at the Vatican by a reporter from the mentioned outlet. According to this information, Cardinal Omella himself is on that list. This information leads us to the unavoidable conclusion that, even though the current Pope is aware of the situation, no action has been taken. Within this context, it is particularly alarming that Omella continues to be Pope Francis's delegate in Spain, tasked with addressing this severe issue.
My aim isn't to be insular but the very opposite: to contribute, within my means, to thorough investigation. I aim to surpass the apparent hypocrisy of those who have entrusted this task to the Firm, suspecting that, swayed by certain sectarian interests, they might want to limit the investigation, especially due to media pressure from platforms like "Religión Digital." I provide in the webography section an extensive list of articles from "Religión Digital" attacking the Cremades - Calvo Sotelo Firm in a grotesque manner.
I'd like to emphasize that my work isn't a mere whim, as I face three trials in October. I've been sued by a young priest, involved in activities contradictory to his ordination and linked to the regular practice of wild sex, contemporaneously to his actions to enter the seminary, in gay sex exchange dens. I identify these with names, addresses, and social networks where information was exchanged post these acts. In this document, I discuss it and reproduce letters sent to the Nuncio, his bishop, and the Aragón abuse prevention office, since, ordained less than five years ago, he is in charge of children from 15 parishes in the Jaca region. There has been no response.
Despite my warnings and complaints to ecclesiastical authorities, including the Nuncio and the bishop, no action has been taken. My accounts have been precautionarily embargoed, and severe penalties have been proposed for alleged damages caused. Meanwhile, the priest in question continues to perform numerous ecclesiastical and public functions. I respect and adhere to the ethical codes of my profession; he, on the other hand, seems to have breached the Catholic Church's private regulations.
Despite the prosecutor's view that sees my actions as highlighting the Church's double standards without committing a crime, the judiciary has been less lenient. My professional, social, and family life has been adversely impacted, and my family's safety jeopardized. However, I remain steadfast in my desire to defend parents' rights to educate their children, the rights of the Catholic Church, and the integrity of my profession.
This document is thorough, and its table of contents is crucial to facilitate its reading. Its purpose is to highlight certain actions by Cardinal Archbishop of Barcelona, Juan José Omella, which could be subject to both civil and canonical complaints. My interest isn't derived from personal feelings towards the cardinal but a natural response to actions that harm individuals' life and integrity. I don't intend for this document to be interpreted as a formal complaint but rather as a means to shed light on what remains hidden. The ultimate goal is to thoroughly investigate these areas and determine any criminal responsibility of Cardinal Omella. While some lawyers might see these efforts as futile, I insist on the importance of unveiling the truth and demanding justice.

1 THE CASE OF REV. AMADEO ELCOSO, AN ABUSER FOR THREE DECADES IN MONZÓN, WITH OMELLA AS BISHOP AND KNOWING THE PROBLEMABSTRACT IN ENGLISH
The document highlights a series of events concerning Amadeo Elcoso, a former parish priest formerly associated with Opus Dei in the parish church of San José, Monzón, Huesca. Elcoso is accused of sexually harassing the brother of Daniel Peruga, a homosexual former deacon in Zaragoza. Elcoso's dual life involved pursuing young males while promoting them to the Colegio Eclesiástico Internacional Bidasoa, the international seminary of Opus Dei in Pamplona. Many of these vocations later failed.
Elcoso served under Monseñor Juan José Omella, Bishop of the Diocese of Barbastro-Monzón at the time. Omella is now implicated in potentially knowing about Elcoso's inappropriate activities and not intervening. Currently, Elcoso is on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old altar boy.
Daniel Peruga, who once served as an altar boy under Elcoso, later accused Elcoso of harassing his brother. Peruga's ties to the church were further complicated due to his alleged promiscuous homosexual lifestyle, which was incompatible with his diaconal ordination. It is suggested that Daniel was used as a pawn in a larger ecclesiastical plot that saw the removal of the Archbishop of Zaragoza, D. Manuel Ureña, in 2014.
The credibility of both Opus Dei and the larger Catholic Church in Spain is questioned. Cardinal Omella, a significant figure in the Spanish Catholic Church, is accused of hiding Elcoso's actions and at the same time leading an extensive internal investigation. This is ironic given that he himself is accused of hiding pederasty.
Furthermore, there is an elaborate financial subplot involving payment from the church to Daniel Peruga. The sum was initially €60,000, but later doubled with two cars added, supposedly as compensation for the moral harm suffered by Peruga and his family due to the events in Monzón. This situation further entangled figures like Roberto Ferrer and Mari Carmen Amador, who allegedly fabricated evidence against another priest.
This multifaceted narrative underscores a complicated web of church politics, allegations of sexual misconduct, and the ensuing legal and moral debates that have raised questions about the integrity and accountability of key figures within the Spanish Catholic Church.
2.- WHO WAS AMADEO ELCOSO
Amadeo Elcoso was a parish priest of Opus Dei at the parish of San José in Monzón, Huesca. He had a sexual harassment relationship towards the brother of the now ex- deacon of Zaragoza, Daniel Peruga, an openly homosexual man who accused Elcoso before his superiors. Daniel Peruga was used by the Jesuit Germán Arana and Cardinal Omella for the defenestration in 2014 of the Archbishop of Zaragoza, D. Manuel Ureña.
Elcoso led a dual life, hunting for young males while publicly promoting young men for the Colegio Eclesiástico Internacional Bidasoa, the international seminary of Opus Dei in Pamplona as said above.
Monsignor Juan José Omella was Bishop of the Diocese of Barbastro-Monzón from October 29, 1999, to April 8, 2004, where Amadeo Elcoso served as a parish priest. It is not reasonable to believe that Cardinal Juan José Omella was unaware of Elcoso's need to seek libidinous compensation among the children attending parish activities, including summer camps. For this, Amadeo Elcoso is currently on trial.
3.- SPIRITUAL CHILDREN OF AMADEO ELCOSO
The relationship between Amadeo Elcoso and Daniel Peruga consisted of Daniel Peruga, now a former deacon, serving as an altar boy for parish priest Amadeo Elcoso at the parish of San José in Monzón, Huesca. However, their relationship became problematic as Elcoso pursued Daniel Peruga's brother with sexual interest. Daniel Peruga reported the situation to Elcoso's spiritual director at Opus Dei, who did not believe the account until the situation exploded, affecting the church's life throughout Aragón.
Daniel Peruga had studied at the same international seminary of Opus Dei in Pamplona as Elcoso, the Bidasoa, although at a later time. Surprisingly, it was Amadeo Elcoso who promoted his vocation to the priesthood, which was cut short after Peruga's ordination as a deacon due to the evident incompatibility of Peruga's wild homosexual lifestyle with holy orders.
Monsignor Carlos Escribano, the current Archbishop of Zaragoza, had also served as an altar boy for Amadeo Elcoso. It is unclear whether he was abused by Elcoso. However, it is evident that Escribano tolerates wild homosexuality within his diocese: regular visits to gay exchange dens by some priests like Rev. Enrique Ester; sexting with genital pictures via smartphone by Rev. L.D.M.O.; sexual harassment by Rev. Ignacio Ruiz Hernández, who is allegedly protected by the Archbishop himself.
Daniel Peruga was later used by Germán Arana and Cardinal Omella, with invaluable help from Roberto Ferrer Sarroca and Mari Carmen Amador, to attack the former secretary of Monsignor Ureña after his expulsion by Pope Francis from the See of Zaragoza in November 2014 with information forged by Ferrer and Amador, which Francisco later acknowledged as erroneous. The reason Arana, Monsignor Elías Yanes, Roberto Ferrer, and Mari Carmen Amador gave Pope Francis to request Ureña's defenestration was believed by Bergoglio, but later, he realized he had been given a misleading account and misunderstood Ureña's actual actions.
4.- OMELLA AND OPUS DEI ALSO CONCEALED AMADEO ELCOSO'S PEDERASTY. IS THE CREDIBILITY OF OPUS DEI AT RISK?
Cardinal Juan José Omella y Omella, President of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, has paid de facto for the largest investigation group ever, comprising former magistrates of the Spanish Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court. This might be the greatest act of clericalism ever seen in a democracy, given that Cardinal Omella appears on "El País" newspaper's list as a concealer of one of the biggest episodes of pederasty in the history of Spain. His cynicism reaches the point where Cardinal Omella thanked "El País" for the work done by its journalists, resulting in this list of concealing bishops and cardinals, leading us to conclude that he hasn't read it. If, on the contrary, he has read it, the only explanation is that this is a forward escape, in the line of hostages (here). It was also delivered to Pope Francis by a reporter from "El País," with the Pope assigning Cardinal Omella to fight pedophilia in Spain, which leads us to conclude that Pope Francis also hasn't read it.
The prestigious international law firm Cremades - Calvo Sotelo has undertaken an important RSC (Corporate Social Responsibility) act by not charging their enormous fees, accepting only the cost of legal acts, and recommended hourly rates. If they worked for free, it would be malpractice and hard to understand. This act seems very correct as a contribution to what could be considered Corporate Social Responsibility, yet it has been misinterpreted by the sectarian press led by "Religiondigital.com," which has brutally attacked the Firm for including members of Opus Dei, constituting this attack an affront to democratic principles.
5.- THE PAYMENT OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND EUROS PLUS TWO GIFT CARS TO THE DEACON WHO HELPED TO BRING DOWN MONSIGNOR UREÑA
Cardinal Juan José Omella had a close relationship with Amadeo Elcoso and Daniel Peruga. During his time as Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón, Omella allegedly did not act against Elcoso's inappropriate activities, involving sexual behaviors and harassment of young males. This is now evident in the trial in Huesca, which began in late June 2023, against Elcoso for allegedly raping an 8-year-old altar boy.
6.- THE CARDINAL OMELLA COORDINATED THE ENTIRE PLOT AGAINST THE ARCHBISHOP OF ZARAGOZA, AS SHOWN BY THE SPANISH PRESS
The reason for the payment of one hundred thousand euros plus two cars to ex- deacon, homosexual activist Daniel Peruga was to allow him to continue his studies and avoid prostituting himself, according to Cardinal Stella (then Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy) to Monsignor Ureña, authorizing the payment of the initial €60,000, which later doubled. However, as the now ex-judicial vicar of the Diocese of Zaragoza and Omella and Arana's agent in the plot, the reverend Roberto Ferrer-Sarroca explained to me (the audio of our conversation is online. I was sued, the Judge acquitted me because "this is what a journalist does"), it was Ferrer himself who asked Archbishop Ureña for a lump sum payment. Initially, the Archbishop had planned a phased payment to allow Daniel Peruga to study and finance his studies as he was not permitted to be ordained as a priest.
Subsequently, Ferrer asked the Archbishop to add taxes to the first amount of €60,000, arguing that after paying taxes, Peruga would be left with almost nothing. To this approximately €100,000 final amount, Ferrer recounts that Peruga (through his now ex-boyfriend, posing as a lawyer and allegedly under coercion, according to Ferrer) asked the Archbishop to add two high-end cars as compensation for the severe moral damage suffered in Monzón by Peruga and his family. Eventually, Monsignor Ureña opted to pay for the two cars out of his own pocket, according to Ferrer's account.
Before this moment, Roberto Ferrer and Mari Carmen Amador fabricated a letter supposedly written by Peruga against priest Miguel Ángel Barco, known as the "priest of Épila," used in the "Maña Plot" against Archbishop Ureña.
Jacques Pintor's investigative team was the only one to bring to light the story of Amadeo Elcoso. The payment to Monsignor Ureña for his obedience was the humiliation and expulsion from Zaragoza by Pope Francis without letting him speak, with the added fact that the Pope dared not apologize later and sanction the plotters: Omella on one side, who was subsequently rewarded with the cardinalate and numerous honors, reaching the pinnacle of the ecclesiastical hierarchy; together with Cardinal Stella, and Pope Francis's friend and mentor Germán Arana -who induced several criminal errors in the following years, and who is now also on trial in Madrid for slander and libel, among other charges the Judge will decide.
7.- THE CHARACTERS IN THIS PLOT
This plot involves several characters:
Amadeo Elcoso: A parish priest of Opus Dei, promiscuous homosexual, and involved in inappropriate activities, accused of sexual harassment by Daniel Peruga and currently living in Barcelona with his boyfriend. He has been tried these days in Huesca and shows signs of psychopathy. He was a student of the international seminary Bidasoa in Pamplona. He allegedly raped a boy from his catechism class when the boy was 8 years old, 12 years ago. He has previous similar accusations against him. The prosecution is asking for 15 years in prison.
Daniel Peruga: A former homosexual deacon and frequenter of gay happenings who accused the "priest of Épila" Miguel Ángel Barco of sexual harassment, and who was a spiritual child of Amadeo Elcoso. He was a student of the International Seminary Bidasoa in Pamplona. Born in May 1987, he began serving as an altar boy with priest Amadeo Elcoso in the parish at the age of seven in 1994.
In 2014, Daniel Peruga confessed in a letter supposedly written by him that Amadeo Elcoso had already pursued his brother with sexual interests in 1997, before the arrival of Monsignor Omella as bishop in 1999. Monsignor Omella remained bishop until 2004, and during those years, Elcoso had developed and continued developing personal homosexual activity and harassment.
In 2005, Peruga discovered photos of naked minors and Elcoso himself in provocative poses sent through file-sharing on social networks on Elcoso's mobile phone, according to his testimony in the letter we referred to.
Monsignor Carlos Escribano: the Current Archbishop of Zaragoza, was an altar boy of Amadeo Elcoso and has a close relationship with Cardinal Omella, who proposed him as Archbishop of Zaragoza. He tolerates wild homosexuality among the clergy of his Diocese as he knows about it and does not address it.
Rev. Miguel Ángel Barco: Known as the "priest of Épila," subject to accusations by Daniel Peruga, and former member of the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross in Opus Dei. He was also a student of the International Seminary Bidasoa in Pamplona. He was allegedly invalidly secularized due to the abuse of power by Cardinal Omella and Germán Arana, and Omella's ambition for power. He did not have a trial, and the definitive exculpatory evidence he presented against the sole accusation of having a daughter, which is not his, was not considered.
Cardinal Juan José Omella: Cardinal and Archbishop of Barcelona, former Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón, and superior of Elcoso for years. He has rapidly climbed the ranks of power in the Vatican. He directed the Maña Plot against Archbishop Ureña and later against Rev. Barco. He was tried by the civil authority for document forgery and malicious intent in the invalid secularization of Rev. Barco, and the judicial instruction ended irregularly, allegedly due to pressure on the judges.
In addition to the characters mentioned above, we also have:
Monsignor José Luis Mumbiela: Bishop of Almaty and President of the Episcopal Conference of Kazakhstan, and one of Amadeo Elcoso's spiritual children. Member of the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross in Opus Dei.
Rev. Sergio Martínez: Another spiritual child of Amadeo Elcoso, who continues to exercise his ministry in Zaragoza despite having a known love affair.
Monsignor Alfonso Milián (+): Succeeded Monsignor Omella as Bishop of Barbastro-Monzón. He knew in-depth about Elcoso's activities and transferred him to Barbastro parish in September 2011, with the grave danger it posed to people's integrity.
The first trial against Germán Arana and also against Amadeo Elcoso has just begun. Both cases are directly related to the publication of books by Jacques Pintor's investigative team. However, the victims are numerous, and complaints have been piling up for years. Our investigative team, through our members in Spain, has been the only media paying attention to this tragedy. This is the first trial (to continue after the summer), and a list of similar charges has already been accumulating that will continue in what we now baptize as the Monzón clerical sexual plot.
